Hello, my pseudonym is Melanie Penn, but some people here call me Mel or sometimes Moon. I am an aspiring artist hobbyist, who has been drawing digitally since around October 2008. For my art, I simply use Microsoft Paint and a standard Dell mouse.
My favorite things to draw are animals and people. I am decent at figures, in general, but my backgrounds need some work. I also enjoy sketching video game, comic, or other fictional characters. Besides drawing, I love writing, and I plan on becoming an author when I am older. Up above is my gallery's mascot, Melanistic the serval.
I currently have two major art/writing projects in progress. The first, Unfolding Time, is a fantasy novel I have been working on writing for some time now. Concept art and character profiles are available in my gallery. The second, is City Pride, a comic I post artwork for occasionally, and which will be posted in its entirety if or when I ever finish it.
